Lynne Madrigal, M.Ed.
grew up in Westport, Connecticut. She received a B.A. in Sociology
from Drew University and an M.S. in Education from the University
of Bridgeport (Connecticut).
The early part of Lynne's professional
career was spent as a public school guidance counselor on the East
Coast. After moving to Seattle in 1989, she served as a Program
Manager for several area non-profit agencies, including Chicken
Soup Brigade and, most recently, Crisis Clinic of Seattle/King
County.
Lynne's passion for cats was ignited when
she acquired her first kitty, Ouzo in 1992 (pictured on our logo).
She credits Ouzo with changing the course of her life and career. Once smitten with her
amazing Oriental Shorthair, she became a devout cat-lover, and
subsequently adopted three other kitties: Lily, Sake, and Cowboy.
Ten years ago, Lynne made the
life-altering decision to forsake her social services career and
start a cat-sitting business. She has never looked back. Today her
feline "family" embraces more than 70 human clients and
200 kitties.
