I'm Derby the Cat and I'm new to these parts. 
My specialty is: I can melt people's hearts.
Unique in my elegance, stature and grace,
My most winning trait is my black-and-white face.
I love to be cuddled; I love to explore.
I sing out "hello!" when you walk in the door.
My legs are so long you might think "Fred Astaire!"
(But *him* you'd allow on the brown leather chair.)
There's not much I can't get my mommy to do;
She thinks that I'm perfect, and yes, this is true.
I'm handsome; I'm playful; I'm loving; I'm smart.
